We've been out here at Mandva Chowkadi for quite a while now. If you’re driving down NH-8 and pass Hotel Kismat, you’ll find us right behind it in the Kathiyawadi area of Mandwa. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic, but we just stick to our work making bricks and various cement articles. The yard is usually full of stacks of material drying out in the sun. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, the workers, and the sound of the mixer running. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much when the wind picks up off the highway, but that's just part of the job. People around here know where to find us if they need something for a small wall or a bigger project. We don't spend time on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on getting the mix right and making sure the bricks are solid before they head out. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it keeps us busy. Most days start early before the sun gets too high and we finish when the light starts to fade. We’ve seen Mandwa change a bit over the years, but the demand for good cement items stays about the same. If you stop by, you'll probably see us loading a truck or checking on a fresh batch of articles. It's a simple setup, just the way we like it. We usually have someone around to answer questions if you just walk into the yard.
