Tarar College

If you walk through Khanjarpur in Bhagalpur, you will eventually find Indu Bhawan. That is where our college is set up. It is an old building with a lot of character, maybe even a few cracks in the walls here and there. I’ve been around here long enough to see the seasons change from the heavy Bihar rains to the dry heat. We aren't a massive university with a sprawling lawn. It is more of a practical space where students come for their lectures and then head back home. We have a few administrative rooms where we keep all the files. Most of those files are stacked pretty high because we still do a lot of things on paper. The students often stand around the entrance talking about their upcoming exams or whatever else is on their minds. It gets quite crowded during the middle of the day. We don’t have fancy cafes inside. Usually, everyone just goes to the local tea stall nearby if they need a break. The address is Indu Bhawanchhoti Khanjarpur, and it’s been a landmark for many years. We don't do much in terms of advertising. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or because they live in the district. It is just a place for learning, without any of the extra polish you see in big city colleges. We keep the lights on and the doors open every single morning.
