Bhushan Steel Ltd. is located near the Nalco Aluminum Plant. Being out here means we are right in the middle of the industrial action. It’s a loud place with a lot of heavy machinery and the smell of metal in the air. We deal with steel in all its forms, mostly processing and moving it out to where it’s needed. The workers here are used to the heat and the noise. Our office is a bit removed from the main floor but you can still feel the vibrations when the big machines are running. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve got a good crew that knows what they’re doing. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations. Most of our work is done in boots and hard hats. Dealing with raw materials and production schedules takes up most of our energy. We have trucks coming and going at all hours of the day. It’s a 24-hour operation sometimes depending on the orders we have. The location near the Nalco plant is helpful for logistics. We aren't interested in sounding corporate; we just focus on getting the steel out the door. It’s a gritty business and we don’t mind getting our hands dirty to keep the production lines moving. That’s just how things are done here. Every day brings a different set of challenges with shipments or equipment maintenance. We just take it as it comes.
