Bhadrak Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated at Bijaya Kumar’s place in Pandabagamara Sasan. It’s out in the Bhadrak area, and it’s a place where everyone knows the land pretty well. We aren’t some distant company based in a big city. We are right here where the crops are grown. Our days start early, usually before the sun gets too hot, and we spend a lot of time just talking to the local farmers about what’s going on in their fields. It’s not always smooth sailing. Sometimes the market prices are a mess, or the pests get into the crops, and we have to sit down at Bijaya’s and figure out what to do. There’s no fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a table, some chairs, and a lot of notebooks filled with numbers. We’ve all lived here a long time, so we understand the problems people face. It’s just about getting the produce from the field to the buyer without losing too much along the way. We don't use any big words or have long meetings about strategy. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to make the best of it. The seasons come and go, and we just keep at it. Pandabagamara Sasan is a small village, and we’re proud to be part of it. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning until night.
