Simulia Agrofresh Women Farmers Producer Company Limited

This is a group for women farmers here in Simulia, Balasore. We operate out of Bhagaban Dash’s place in Rambindhaps. It’s mostly local women from the village working on fresh agro products. We didn't want a big corporate thing. We just wanted a way to get our produce out. Balasore has good soil for this. We spend most of our mornings in the fields. It’s not easy work but we do it together. Sometimes we meet up at the office to talk about the crops. The address is 756123 if you need to find the building. We don't have fancy brochures. We just sell what we grow. The Agrofresh part in our name just means we try to keep things from getting old. Most of us have been farming since we were kids. This company helps us stay organized. We aren't trying to be the biggest in the world. We just want to take care of our families and keep the farm running. It’s a real grassroots thing. You won't find any slick salespeople here. Just women who know their way around a plow and seeds. We deal with the usual farm problems like bugs and bad rain. But we keep going. It’s what we do. Simulia is a nice place to work. We are glad to be part of the community here. We just keep our heads down and work on the land.
