Hudastone

Down on Kurnool Road, you will see our place, Hudastone. We work with all kinds of stones and slabs out here. It is a big open space because stones take up a lot of room. Most of our day involves unloading trucks and helping people pick out what they need for their floors or walls. It is not the cleanest job in the world—there is always a bit of stone dust in the air and on our boots. We have been on Kurnool Road for a good while and have seen the area change quite a bit. People from all over the neighborhood come by when they are doing some construction. We don't have a lot of fancy offices or anything like that. It is just us, the stone, and the equipment we use to move it all around. The weather plays a big part in our day; if it rains, things get a bit muddy, and if it is hot, the stone gets warm to the touch. We just take it as it comes. We aren't into big marketing talk. We just show what we have in the yard and let people decide. It is honest work, and we have built some good relationships with the local builders over the years. Just a regular business on a busy road. We try to keep the stacks neat so nobody trips.
