Woodrich Resort

We are located over at House Number 18 on 27th Cross in Bangalore. It is a busy city, but we try to keep things a bit more relaxed here at the resort. Most days are spent checking the rooms and making sure the blankets are folded right. The garden needs a lot of water because the sun gets pretty hot during the afternoon hours. We have a small staff here, just local people who know the 1st Main area well. It is not some giant hotel chain with a thousand rules, just a place where people stay when they are passing through Karnataka. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a lightbulb flickers out, and we have to go fix it right away. We spend a lot of time talking to guests about where to find good food nearby. The office is just a small room near the front where we keep the guest book and the keys. It gets a bit dusty with the windows open, but we like the breeze. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what is comfortable for moving around and lifting suitcases. Running a place like this means you never really have a day off, because there is always something that needs cleaning or a guest who arrives late at night. We just stay here and keep the place running as best as we can for anyone who stops by.
