Vedanth Industries

Our place is in Kamakshi Palya at DCM 6. It is an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machines and trucks moving nearby. Vedanth Industries is a workshop where we spend our time making parts and handling metalwork. It is quite a dusty environment and the floor is usually covered in small metal shavings. I wear heavy boots every day because you never know what might drop. We have some old machinery that needs a lot of oiling to keep running smoothly. It gets quite warm inside the shed during the summer months. We mostly just focus on getting the orders finished on time. I have a couple of guys who have been working with me for years now. We know each other's habits and how the machines sound when they are working right. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps over the workbenches. We take our tea breaks sitting on the wooden crates outside near the entrance. Kamakshi Palya is a busy part of town for this kind of work. We don't really have a showroom or anything like that. People just come to the gate and ask for what they need. We keep the gates open during the day so the air can circulate a bit. It is just a hard-working shop trying to keep things moving along properly. There is always a lot of clanging and grinding noise but we are used to it by now.
