Balaji Tarpaulin Industries

We started Balaji Tarpaulin Industries quite a while ago here in Srigandha Nagar. If you know the Heggnahalli Cross area, we are situated right on the 2nd Main Road G Cross at No. 10. It is a pretty busy spot, but we like the energy here. Mostly, we just spend our days handling heavy fabrics and making sure the covers are stitched properly. It is hard work on the hands, but somebody has to do it so people’s stuff stays dry during the rains. We see a lot of truck drivers and local residents coming by. Some people need a small cover for a roof leak, while others want something huge for a lorry. We don't have a fancy office. It's just a practical workspace with heavy-duty sewing machines and rolls of material piled up everywhere. Usually, the place gets pretty dusty, and there is always the constant drone of machines going in the background. My cousin helps with the cutting, and we have a couple of guys who have been with us for years. They really know how to fold a tarp so it doesn't catch the wind too much. We try to keep things simple and honest. You come in, tell us the dimensions you need, and we see what we can do. Sometimes we are very backed up with orders, especially before the monsoon hits. That's when everyone suddenly remembers they need a tarp. We just do our bit from this corner of Heggnahalli and try to get home on time. It is a decent living, and it keeps us busy every day.
