Vedand Granites

Vedand Granites is located at 2 Jigani in the Agar Nagar Enclave. Jigani is a place known for its stone industry, and we are right in the thick of it. Our yard is filled with big slabs of granite in all sorts of colors and patterns. It is a very dusty place to work. No matter how much we clean, there is always a layer of stone dust on the desks and the equipment. We spend our days moving these heavy slabs around using the crane or by hand when they are smaller pieces. The sound of the saws cutting through stone is something we hear from morning until evening. It’s a noisy and rugged environment. Agar Nagar Enclave has many similar yards, so the whole area feels like one big construction site. We don't have an air-conditioned showroom. We just have the open yard and a small office where we handle the paperwork. When customers come, we walk them through the rows of stone so they can see the grain and the finish. Rain makes the yard muddy and the slabs slippery, so we have to be extra careful then. Our hands are usually rough and stained from the work. It’s a basic, hard-working business. We don’t put on any acts. We just sell granite and try to make sure we don't break too many slabs during the loading process. It’s a simple way to earn a living and we’ve been here for years.
