Veda Tiles & Granites

Veda Tiles & Granites is situated over at Nanjappa Circle in the Vidyaranyapura area. We are located right next to the Shanimahatma Temple, so we are pretty easy to spot if you are driving through the neighborhood. Our yard is filled with heavy stacks of tiles and large, heavy slabs of granite. It is very physical work moving these things around, and we often end up with stone dust all over our clothes by the end of the shift. We spend our time helping people pick out what might look good for their kitchens or floors. It’s not always easy because there are so many different patterns and colors to choose from. The sun can be quite strong out in the open yard, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We’ve been here for a while and the temple next door brings a lot of people by, especially on Saturdays. It’s a local kind of place where we know most of the people who stop in to browse. We don’t have a polished sales team in suits. It’s just us showing you what we have available in the current stacks. Sometimes pieces get chipped or broken during transport, which is just an annoying part of the job. We try to keep the display as neat as we can, but it’s a working stone yard after all. The noise from the circle is constant.
