Trishla House is situated at 4-A Race Course, and it’s a place where we spend a lot of our time dealing with plastic and vinyl. It’s not a very complicated operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The building has been there for a while, and the address is pretty easy for people to find since the Race Course is a well-known landmark in the area. Inside, the rooms are filled with samples and rolls of tubing that take up a lot of space. It smells a bit like new plastic in here, which you get used to after about ten minutes. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and a few old photos. The desks are usually covered in orders and scribbled notes about shipping dates. Sometimes the computers act up, or the printer runs out of ink right when we need it, but we manage to get the invoices out anyway. Trishla Vinyl Tubes Ltd. is run by a small group of us who have worked together for years. We know each other’s habits and who takes their coffee with too much sugar. The morning starts with opening up the heavy doors and checking what came in overnight. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually ready to lock up and head out into the traffic. It’s just regular work, nothing more and nothing less than that.
