Reliance Hardware Mart

If you have ever been to City Market, you know how crowded and hectic it gets. Reliance Hardware Mart is tucked away at 13/A Mavalli Rama Rao Lane. It is one of those lanes where you have to watch your step because of all the deliveries moving in and out. Our shop has been here for a long time and the shelves are packed from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for because there are so many small parts and different brands of tools mixed together. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It's just a regular hardware store with a counter and a lot of stock. My father started this and now we just keep it going day by day. Most of our customers are locals or builders who have been coming to this lane for years. We open up early in the morning when the market is just starting to wake up and we usually stay until the sun goes down. The dust from the street always finds its way inside no matter how much we sweep. It is a noisy place with people shouting and bikes honking outside, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on getting people the nuts, bolts, or tools they need so they can get back to their own work.
