Shah Agencies

Avenue Road is a place where you have to be careful where you walk because it’s so crowded. Our place, Shah Agencies, is tucked into the 6th Block on the 2nd D Main. We’ve been at 6/430 for quite some time. The building is one of those old ones with narrow stairs and high ceilings. We mostly deal with wholesale stuff, so there are always stacks of boxes blocking the hallway. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don’t have a flashy storefront or big bright lights. Usually, the lights are a bit dim and it smells like old paper and cardboard. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, talking to suppliers and trying to figure out where our shipments are. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes the rain makes the road a muddy mess, and that slows everything down. We aren’t a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who have worked together for years. We eat our lunch together in the back office while the street noise carries on outside. People know us for being reliable, but we don’t make a big deal out of it. We just do the work we have to do and go home. Avenue Road has changed a lot, but this little corner of ours stays pretty much the same. It’s a good spot to be if you want to be in the middle of everything that happens in the city.
