Our office for Thomas Cook India is situated over at No-7, 2nd Cross in Bangalore. Sri.R.Basavaraj is the one who keeps things moving here. It’s a typical travel office, nothing too flashy or over the top. We spend our days helping people sort out their trips, which involves a lot of looking at computer screens and talking on the phone. Travel can be a bit of a headache with all the rules changing, so we stay busy. We've been in this part of Karnataka for some time now. The office isn't very large, just enough space for our desks and a few chairs for people who stop by. Sometimes the fans are humming, and it gets a bit warm in the afternoons. We handle a lot of different things, from basic tickets to more complicated stuff like currency exchange. It’s a lot of small details that you have to get right. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with marble floors or anything like that. It’s just us working at our stations. We have our regulars who come in every time they need to go somewhere. We know their names and where they like to sit on a plane. It’s a simple operation, really. We just show up, do our best to get people where they need to go, and then head home. It’s a decent way to spend the day, even when the internet is slow and the phones won't stop ringing. It gets tiring but it is what it is.
