The Taj West End

The Taj West End has a presence here at Meenakshi Apartments, right off Infantry Road on Plain Street. This isn’t the main hotel grounds but more of a functional space for us in the heart of Bangalore. The office is in apartment number 303. It is a quiet street compared to the main roads nearby. We have a small group of people working here every day. Most of the time, we are busy with admin work or coordinating different parts of the hospitality operations. It feels a bit like a home because it's in an apartment building. We know the security guards at the gate and the people living in the other units. There are files everywhere and the desks are usually covered in notes and schedules. We use the small kitchen to brew coffee when the afternoon slump hits. It’s a very grounded way to work. You wouldn't think a big name would have such a simple office, but it works for us. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Getting through the paperwork and the emails is the main goal. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and a bit of the street below. We’ve been based in Bangalore-1 for quite some time now, and we’re used to the pace of this part of the city. We just keep the records straight and manage the daily flow of information.
