The President Hotel

We've been here in Koramangala for a while now. The building is right across from the police station, so it's easy to find. My name is one of the people who help run things here at The President Hotel. Most mornings I’m just checking the lobby or making sure the rooms are tidy for whoever is coming in. Bangalore gets busy, especially this part of town, but we try to keep it quiet inside. The Babu Reddy building is where we set up. It’s not a huge fancy place with glass walls, just a regular spot for people to stay. Sometimes the traffic outside is a bit loud, but that's just how it is near the station. We see a lot of people passing through for work. I usually sit at the front desk for a few hours every afternoon. If someone needs a towel or has a question about where to eat nearby, we just tell them what we know. There isn’t a big handbook or anything. We just do the work. The rooms have the basics. It’s mostly about having a bed that’s clean. Sometimes the internet is fast, other times it slows down when everyone is using it at once. We don't make a big deal out of things. We just stay open and help out the folks who book a room here. It’s a job like any other, keeping the floors swept and the lights on for our guests.
