The Malabar Agricultural Co., Ltd.

We've been operating out of Flat No 2 in Omkar Society for a while now. It’s right here in Murugeshpalya, which is a busy enough area but our street stays mostly quiet. People are sometimes surprised to find an agricultural company office inside a residential building like this one. We handle a lot of coordination and paperwork from this small space. The office isn't very big, but it fits our desks and the old filing cabinets we still use. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to chat or ask about what we're doing. We deal with various crops and farm supplies, mostly acting as a bridge for the growers. It gets very busy during the harvest months. That is when the phones start ringing early and don't really stop until late. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine. Usually, we just make some tea on a small stove in the back. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan has this rhythmic clicking sound that you eventually stop noticing. If you are trying to find us, just look for the second society gate. We stay open from nine in the morning until about six, though sometimes we leave early if there’s a field visit. It’s a plain, functional place where we focus on the daily work and keeping the logistics sorted.
