The Leela Palace,Bangalore

I've been working at The Leela Palace here in Bangalore for a while now. Our spot is tucked away at H-9, Kr Garden, right in the Murugesh Palya area. If you know the neighborhood, it's pretty busy but we manage to keep things running. People come in and out all day long. Sometimes the traffic on the way to Bangalore-17 gets a bit much, but that's just how it is around here. The building itself has been part of the landscape for years. We spend our mornings checking the schedules and making sure the floors are tidy. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this going. My uncle used to live nearby so I know the Kr Garden streets quite well. We don't really do anything fancy in our day-to-day talk, we just focus on the tasks at hand. Whether it's fixing a light or answering the phone, there’s always something. You’ll find us near the main road. The weather in Bangalore stays mostly nice, which helps when you're moving things around outside. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the seasons. New shops open up down the street and the old ones close, but we’re still here at the same old address. It’s just a regular workplace where everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t have some big corporate speech to give. It’s just us doing what needs to be done every single day. We keep it simple.
