The Leela Palace

This is The Leela Palace, located right at 23 Airport Road in Kodihally. If you know Bangalore, you know this part of the city can get quite crowded with all the traffic heading towards the old airport area. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. It’s a big building, 560 008 is the postal code if you’re looking it up. People come and go all day long. It takes a lot of people to keep a place like this running, from the folks at the front to the ones you never see in the back. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. It’s just a hotel and we do our best to keep things moving. There’s always something that needs fixing or a room that needs cleaning. It’s a lot of physical work and standing on your feet for hours. Sometimes the weather is nice and the gardens look good, other times it’s just raining and we’re trying to keep the floors dry. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Kodihally isn’t what it used to be, but we’re still here on Airport Road. It’s a landmark for some, but for us, it’s just where we go to work every morning. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just run the place as best as we can, day after day. It is a big job.
