The Island

The Island is a little spot tucked away at 3 Indira Nagar, specifically on S M Lane. We are pretty close to the Columbia Asia Hospital, so we get a lot of people who are in that part of town for one reason or another. It is not a huge place, just a comfortable space where we try to give people a break from the noise of the city. Bangalore can be a bit much sometimes with all the traffic and the rushing around, so we keep things pretty low-key here. We don't have a fancy mission statement or a bunch of slogans on the wall. It is just a building with some seats where you can come and be for a while. The staff is just a few locals who live nearby and know the streets well. We aren't part of some big chain of restaurants or hotels. We just have this one location and we put our time into keeping it running every day. Some days the lane gets a bit crowded with cars and bikes, but once you get inside it's usually alright. We have been here for a bit now and have seen the neighborhood change around us as things grow. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It is a regular job for us and we just hope it works out for the people who come to visit us at 560038.
