The Grand Ashok

Our building is located at 857, 3 A Main in the K N Extension part of Yeswanthpur. The Grand Ashok has been here for a long time, and we have seen the area change from a quiet spot to a very busy commercial hub. Being near the railway station means we get a lot of people coming in at all hours of the night. It can be exhausting for the staff, but we have a good rhythm going. We are not into using marketing language or trying to sound like a five-star resort. We are a practical hotel where the beds are clean and the water is usually hot. The lobby has some old chairs and a desk where we handle all the check-ins. Yeswanthpur-22 is a noisy place, so we do our best to keep the rooms quiet, but the city sounds always find a way in. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because an old building always has something that needs fixing. Whether it is a slow drain or a door that squeaks, there is always a tool in someone's hand. The staff is mostly local guys who have been working here for years. We do not have a fancy corporate office; we just work out of the back room. It is a straightforward place for people who need to stay in this part of Bangalore without paying for things they do not need.
