The Golden Palms Hotel & Spa

We are out here near the Himalaya Drug Company on the road to Nelamangala. If you’ve driven past Suryoday Park Society, you’ve likely seen the gate. It is a big place with lots of palm trees, which is where the name comes from. Most days start early with the gardeners out on the grass and the pool guys getting the leaves out of the water before anyone wakes up. It’s quiet out here compared to the city center, though the highway isn't far off. The buildings have been here for a while now. Some parts look a bit older than others, but we try to keep things tidy. We have the spa area where it smells like incense and oils most of the afternoon. Our staff mostly live nearby, so they know the shortcuts around Nelamangala if you ever get stuck in traffic. People come here for weddings or just to sit by the pool for a weekend. It isn't a fancy high-rise; it’s more spread out with a lot of walking between the rooms and the main lobby. Sometimes the birds get quite loud in the mornings, especially near the balconies. We spend a lot of time just making sure the fans work and the flowers are watered. It is a lot of work to keep such a large spot running, but it’s what we do every day. Nothing too complicated, just a big hotel with plenty of space to breathe and sit outside.
