The Basil Hotel

You can find The Basil Hotel inside R.V. House, specifically on the 2nd Floor. We are located at Door No. 25 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Being on the second floor means we are a bit removed from the immediate noise of the street, but you can still hear the city moving outside the windows. The building, R.V. House, has been around for a while, and it has that solid feel to it. We don’t have a massive lobby or a dozen elevators. It’s a more modest setup where we know every corner of the floor. We spend our time checking the rooms and making sure the plumbing and the lights are working. It’s a lot of manual work, and we don’t mind it. The staff here is pretty small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping with the bags. Bangalore is a busy place to run a hotel, but we just take it one day at a time. We don't use any fancy marketing talk because that’s not really who we are. We are just people working in a building, trying to provide a place for others to rest. The 2nd floor has a certain quietness to it in the late afternoon when the sun hits the windows. We just stay focused on the daily chores and the people who come to stay at Door No. 25.
