Syndicate Hardware Mart

We are set up at 180/2 Sardar Patrappa Road, right off the Sion Trombay Road. It’s a noisy part of town with a lot of vehicles passing by, but it’s good for a hardware store like ours. Syndicate Hardware Mart has been around for a long time. If you walk inside, you'll see shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with nuts, bolts, tools, and pipes. There’s always that smell of metal and oil in the air. We don’t have a fancy display; it’s more about knowing exactly which drawer holds the right size screw when a customer asks. Most of the people who come in are local builders or guys fixing things at home. We spend a lot of time counting out small parts and bagging them up. Sometimes we lose track of time talking to the regulars who stop by for a chat while they pick up supplies. The floor is concrete and shows the wear of years of heavy crates being dragged across it. We don’t bother with big sales pitches or flashy signs. People come to us because they know we usually have what they need buried somewhere in the back. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but it’s a real shop where work gets done every day. We just keep the ledger updated by hand and make sure the tools are where they should be for the next person who walks through the door.
