S. K. N. Garments

We are located at No. 45/125 Srigandhada Kaval, which is right near Hanumanthnagar in Sunkadakatte. It’s a busy little area. Our shop is where we do all the garment work. There’s usually a pile of fabric somewhere waiting to be cut. We have several sewing machines lined up. It gets pretty noisy when everyone is working at once. The light isn't always the best, so we use extra lamps over the stitching tables. We make all sorts of clothes depending on what the order is. Some days it’s shirts and other days it’s something else. We don’t really have a showroom. Most of our space is taken up by the work itself. You’ll see thread everywhere and pieces of chalk used for marking the cloth. The people working here have been doing this for a long time. We know each other’s styles and we talk while we work to pass the time. Sunkadakatte is a place with a lot of small businesses like ours. We just fit right in. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just have good machines. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We open up in the morning and stay until the day's quota is finished. It’s just us doing our thing every day near Hanumanthnagar. It is not a very complicated setup, but it works for us.
