Out here in Honnenhalli Village, things move a bit slower than they do in the city. Our place is at 29 3, near Rajanakunte in the Doddballapur area. Sunita Marbels And Granite is tucked away a bit, which gives us plenty of room to spread out the slabs. You don't get the same kind of heavy traffic here as you do in the middle of Bangalore, but the road still stays busy with local tractors and people moving between villages. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and seeing what arrived the night before. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and shifting things around. The air is a bit clearer out here, though we still get plenty of dust from the stone cutting. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to answer phones all day; it’s just us handling the yard. Sometimes a local farmer stops by, or someone building a house in the village comes to look at what we have. We try to keep the place organized, but with so much granite and marble, it’s a constant struggle. When it rains, the yard gets a bit muddy, but that’s just part of being in this location. Usually, by five or six, we start wrapping things up. It’s a quiet way to make a living, far enough from the city noise but busy enough to keep us tired by the end of the day. We just focus on the stone.
