Our place is in the Peenya Industrial Area, 2nd Stage, specifically at B 255. If you know Peenya, you know it’s a maze of factories and small sheds. Standard Poly Packs is one of those spots where there’s always something running. The noise of the machinery is something you just get used to after a while. It’s a big, open space with high ceilings and plenty of stacks of materials waiting to be processed. We spend a lot of our time checking the machines and making sure the rolls are lined up right. It’s dusty and loud, but it’s where we do our thing. We have a small corner for the office stuff, mostly just a desk with a lot of ledgers and a computer that’s a few years old. The floor is concrete and has some stains from years of work, which gives it character, I guess. We work in shifts, so there’s usually someone here even when the rest of the street is quiet. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually end up during breaks to get away from the noise. It’s a tough environment, especially in the heat of the afternoon, but we’ve got some big fans that help a bit. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we’re all part of this local industrial community. We don’t have a fancy showroom. What you see is exactly what we are—a working factory floor at B 255. It's just a regular business.
