Standard Plastic Manufacturers

Our business is called Standard Plastic Manufacturers. We’re located on Subedar Chatram Road, at 251/3. It’s a very old street with a lot of history and a lot of traffic. If you’ve ever been down SC Road, you know how tight the space can be. Our place at 251/3 is squeezed in between a couple of other wholesalers. We have a lot of plastic goods stacked up inside, from buckets to bins and everything else in between. It smells a bit like new plastic in here, which some people don't like, but we're used to it. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so we have to be careful when we’re carrying stuff up and down. We don't have a lot of room for a front desk, so we just work among the stock. Usually, there’s a couple of us here, answering the phone or talking to delivery drivers. It’s a noisy place because of the street outside and the fans inside. We’ve had the same sign out front for ages, and it’s started to fade a bit in the sun. We open up early because that’s when the road is easiest to navigate. By midday, it’s a struggle just to get a bike through. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we’re at 251/3. It’s a busy, cramped, and loud workplace, but it’s where we’ve always been. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready day after day.
