St Marks Hotel

We sit right on St Marks Road at number 4/1. This part of Bangalore is always moving. There’s a lot of history on this street, and we’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our front door. We offer rooms for travelers and a place to grab a meal. It’s a busy corner, so there is always something to see out the windows. The building itself is straightforward. We have a front desk that's open all the time because people arrive at all hours. We don't do all that extra stuff you see in big chain hotels. We just provide a place to sleep and a bit of food. The staff here is mostly local folks who know the shortcuts around the city. We spend our days checking people in and out. The rooms are what you’d expect for a city hotel. We try to keep the noise from the street out as much as we can. It’s a good spot if you want to be in the middle of everything without having to take a long rickshaw ride. We don’t have a giant swimming pool or anything, but we have beds and roofs that don't leak. It’s an honest living and we’ve been doing it for years. St Marks is a nice place to walk around in the evening when the weather is good. We don't use fancy words to describe ourselves. We are just a hotel on a very old and famous road.
