Sri Rajeshwari is located at number 16 on R V Road, right in the Halasuru and Upparahalli area. This is an older part of the city, and our building definitely shows its age with the weathered brickwork and the old-style doors that sometimes stick in the rain. We have been in this spot for quite a while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us in a big way. The shop itself is tucked away, and if you aren't looking for it, you might just walk right past the small entrance. Inside, the space is filled with all sorts of items that have piled up over the months. We have a wooden counter that has been smoothed down by years of people leaning on it while they talk. There is a specific smell to the place, a mix of old paper and the incense we light every morning. R V Road gets pretty busy with commuters, but our little corner stays somewhat relaxed compared to the main junction. Most of the folks who come in are from the nearby houses and have been living in Halasuru for generations. We don't use any high-tech systems for everything; we still write some things down in a big ledger book that stays behind the counter. It’s a slow-paced kind of life here, and we prefer it that way. No one is in a huge rush, and we usually end up chatting about the weather.
