B S Auto Electrical Works

If you walk down Triveni Road near the 8th Cross in Yeshwantpur, you’ll find us at number 662. B S Auto Electrical Works is basically a garage that smells like old batteries and grease. We spend most of our days leaning over car hoods or sitting on low stools tinkering with alternators. The floor is usually stained with oil, and there are wires hanging from the ceiling in a way that probably looks messy to anyone else. It’s a noisy part of town because of all the trucks moving through Yeshwantpur, so we’re used to shouting over the engines. We have a couple of guys who are really good with their hands and can figure out why a starter motor is acting up just by listening to it. There isn't a lot of space to move around once a few cars are parked inside. We mostly deal with the local drivers and some of the commercial guys who pass through. The tools we use are old but they get the job done. We don't have a website or a fancy sign. Most people just know we are here because they saw us while stuck in traffic. When it rains, the water sometimes splashes in from the street, and we just sweep it out and keep working. It’s a simple life, mostly focused on getting people back on the road without too much fuss or delay.
