If you go down to Manjunathanagar in Rajajinagar, you will find our small shop at number 625. It is usually a bit of a mess inside with wires, testers, and spare parts scattered across the workbench. We spend most of our time out on calls anyway. Someone’s fuse blew or a ceiling fan stopped working, so we grab the ladder and the tool kit. It is a lot of walking up and down stairs in these apartment buildings. Rajajinagar has so many narrow streets, and we know most of them by heart now. We do not have a big fancy showroom. It is just a place to keep our gear and take messages. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook when there is a storm and the power goes haywire in the neighborhood. We try to get to everyone as fast as we can, but there are only so many hours in the day. The work is dusty and you get grease on your hands, but that is just part of being an electrician. We have been working around here for a good while. My boots are usually worn out from all the standing and climbing. We just focus on fixing what is broken so people can have their lights back on. It is basic work, nothing too complicated, just stuff that needs doing right. We keep a lot of old circuit breakers and switches in boxes under the main table just in case someone needs a part. It is a lot of troubleshooting and trying to figure out why a circuit is tripping.
