Sri Manjunatha Auto Electricals

Down here at Rajajinagar 637, there is almost always a car or a motorbike with some kind of wiring issue parked right outside. Sri Manjunatha Auto Electricals is not a huge place, but it is filled to the ceiling with batteries, coils, and all sorts of testing tools. It smells like old grease and metal most of the time. We spend the majority of our days bent over engines or looking up under dashboards with a small flashlight in hand. Most of our work involves fixing starters or alternators that decided to give up at the worst possible time. It is greasy work and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the shift. Sometimes a repair takes a bit longer than we thought because the wires are brittle or the parts are hard to reach. We do not mind the effort, though. The shop fans hum in the background while we try to figure out why a blinker stopped working or why a battery will not hold a charge. There are piles of old components tucked into the corners that we keep for spare parts or scrap. People around Rajajinagar know where we are. They drop off their vehicles and come back later, or they just sit on the small bench outside while we poke around the fuse box. It is a straightforward shop. We do not do body work or painting, just the electrical side of things. It is steady work that keeps us busy from the morning until we finally pull the shutter down at night.
