Sri & Co

Sri & Co is tucked away at number 274 in Old Tharagupet. This part of the city is very old and the roads are quite narrow. It can be a bit of a squeeze when the big lorries come through to drop off goods. We handle various items here. It’s mostly wholesale stuff, so we deal with big quantities rather than small packets. We don’t have a fancy storefront with glass and lights. It’s more of a warehouse feel inside the building. There are stacks of bags and wooden boxes everywhere you look. We have to keep track of what comes in and what goes out on the trucks. It gets quite dusty with all the movement. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. You get to know the other shop owners around here well. We all usually drink tea at the same small stall in the afternoon. The building itself is old, and it has that specific smell of aged wood and gunny bags. We spend the day checking lists and moving stock from one side to the other. It’s not very exciting work, but it keeps us busy from morning to night. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk. We just try to keep things moving so the space doesn't get too cramped. Customers come in, they know what they want, and we get it ready for them. There’s no need for big speeches or sales talk here. We just do our work and go home. It’s a regular business in an old part of town.
