You can find us at No. 95 Sreekrupa on Avenue Road. If you know anything about this area, you know it is incredibly busy from early morning until late at night. There are people everywhere and the noise of the traffic never really stops. We’ve been running Shyam Chem Impex from this location for quite a few years now. Our office is a bit of a squeeze because we have so many files and documents related to the chemicals we import and export. It’s a functional space, though it’s certainly not modern or fancy. We have old wooden desks and shelves that are packed almost to the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time making sure we are following all the rules and that our shipments are on time. It can be a bit stressful when things get backed up at the docks or with the paperwork, but we just handle it one thing at a time. We don't have a big marketing budget or any polished brochures to show off. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for a long time and trust what we do. Avenue Road is a unique place to work and we’ve grown to appreciate the chaos of it over the years. We usually have our tea brought in from a nearby vendor and we eat our lunch at our desks while we work. We aren't trying to be a big corporate entity, we are just a local business doing what we know in the heart of the city.
