Sree Vishnu Granites & Marbles

Sree Vishnu Granites & Marbles is situated out on Kanakapura Road, right near the NICE Road Junction. It’s a bit away from the city center, but that’s actually better for what we do. We have a lot of space out here for the heavy slabs of marble and granite that come in. Being near the junction makes it easier for the big trucks to reach us without getting stuck in the narrow city streets. It’s a dusty place, honestly. There is no way around it when you are moving stone all day long. We have a small office area where we sit to do the paperwork, but mostly we are out in the yard looking at the stock. The sun hits the stone and you can see all the patterns, which is probably the best part of the job. It’s a noisy spot because of the highway traffic and the machines we use to move things. We usually wear old clothes because everything gets covered in grit. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot under the tin roof. People drive out here specifically to see what we have, so we stay busy enough. We just take things as they come, whether it's a big order or just someone looking for a small piece of marble. It’s a plain, hardworking life out here near the junction.
