South City Lodge

South City Lodge is located in the Sakinaka area, specifically in Jayanagar Mohili Chawl. We are situated above the Indus Hostel in Jos Nagar, 560011. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know how packed and busy it gets. It’s a real Mumbai experience with people everywhere and constant noise. Our lodge is a practical place. We provide a spot to sleep for people who are in the city for work or just passing through. It’s not fancy at all. The rooms are small and the setup is basic, but it serves its purpose for the night. We spend a lot of our time managing the daily turnover of guests and keeping the common areas tidy. It’s a lot of stairs and narrow hallways, which is typical for this part of town. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a concierge. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at the small desk near the entrance. We handle the keys and talk to the guests about where to find the local transport. Living and working in a chawl means you are always close to your neighbors. There’s a sense of community here, even if it’s a bit loud sometimes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website with professional photos. We just rely on the fact that people always need a place to stay in this neighborhood. It’s an honest, busy life, and we just keep things moving one day at a time.
