Singhal Granites

Our office is located in the Barton Center on M.G. Road. We are up on the eighth floor in room 809. It’s a classic building in a very famous part of Bangalore. Everyone knows M.G. Road. It’s much different from the actual stone yards. Up here, it’s mostly about the business side of things. We have a view of the street below, which is always full of cars and people. The office is a bit old-fashioned. We have wooden desks and some samples of granite on the shelves so people can see the colors. We spend our time on calls and coordinating between the quarries and the buyers. It’s a central spot, so it’s easy for people to meet us here. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a functional space where we get our work done. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we have to wait a bit. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It has a certain character that the new offices don't have. We drink our tea and look over the orders. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't try to be something we're not. We just run our granite business from this little corner of the city. M.G. Road is always changing, but our office stays pretty much the same. It’s where we feel comfortable working every day. We just keep track of the slabs.
