At Siddeshwara Ceramics & Marbles, we deal with a lot of heavy stuff every day. Our location is in Alurduddanahalli at the Lohar Chawl, which is quite close to the old bus stand. Being near the bus stand means we see a lot of people passing by all the time. The shop is full of tiles, marble slabs, and different ceramic items. It gets quite dusty here because of all the stone cutting and moving things around. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a practical yard where we keep the stock. People come in looking for things for their homes or small building projects. We spend most of our time lifting boxes or showing different patterns to customers. It is hard work and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. The Lohar Chawl area is a bit old-fashioned, but it suits us well. We know most of the drivers who bring the supplies and the regulars who live around Alurduddanahalli. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to come in. Sometimes we sit outside near the old bus stand when it’s quiet. We have been doing this for a long time and we just stick to what we know. It is a simple life of selling stone and ceramics to whoever needs them.
