Shyam Plastics

We are located over on Lalbagh Road, specifically in the 4th Cross at number 37/12. Shyam Plastics is a small operation. We mostly deal with plastic goods and materials that people need for their shops or homes. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack things all the way up to the ceiling to make room. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. The street outside is always full of trucks and carts moving goods to the nearby markets. It’s a noisy part of town, but we’ve gotten used to it. We start early in the morning, around nine, and stay until the sun goes down. Most of the time it’s just me and a helper. We handle everything from unloading the stock to writing out the bills by hand. We don't use any fancy software for that. Our customers are mostly regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know we have what they need, even if it takes a minute to dig it out from the back. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is concrete, but it serves the purpose. We don’t have an air conditioner, just an old ceiling fan that clicks when it’s on the high setting. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of this busy trading area.
