Shree Vinayaka Marbles

Shree Vinayaka Marbles is located over in the Banashankari area of Unkal. We’ve got a yard here where we keep all the different types of stone and marble. It’s a pretty basic setup, with a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the crane or by hand. The air is often a bit dusty from the stone, but we are used to it after all these years. People from the neighborhood and surrounding areas come by when they are building a house or fixing up a floor. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; we just show people the actual slabs we have out in the yard. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and homeowners about what kind of stone might work for their specific project. Banashankari is a good spot for us, and we’ve become part of the local scenery here in Unkal. We aren't interested in a lot of sales talk. We just show what’s in stock and tell folks the price. Every slab is a bit different, and that’s what makes the work interesting for us. It’s a lot of hard, physical labor, but it’s honest work that we enjoy. We stay busy through the day and close up once the sun starts to go down. It’s just a regular local business where we focus on the materials we sell and the people we meet.
