If you head down to the Jigni Industrial Area, you’ll find us at No- 456 in the Nisarga Layout. We are on the 29th Main, right at the corner of 2nd Cross. It’s a good spot because we are quite near the cricket stadium, so on weekends, you can sometimes hear the cheering if there’s a local match going on. Our yard is filled with different types of granite and marble that we’ve collected over time. It’s a rugged environment with cranes and forklifts moving heavy slabs around all day long. We started this because we knew the stone business well and wanted to have our own place in this industrial belt. The office is just a small cabin where we keep the ledgers and a few samples for people to look at. It gets pretty noisy with all the cutting going on, but that’s expected in Jigni. We deal with a lot of contractors and homeowners who are tired of the big fancy stores and just want to see the raw material for themselves. Sometimes the dust is a bit much, and we have to wash everything down, but that’s just part of the routine. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just write things down and make sure the measurements are right before any stone leaves the yard.
