Shree Ji Stones

We’re located at 429 on Chhattarpur Main Road in Satbari. If you’re coming our way, we’re near Tania Farm. Shree Ji Stones is basically a big yard full of various types of stone and slabs. It’s a dusty business, so we’re always covered in a bit of grit by the end of the day. The main road is always busy with cars and bikes, but once you step into our lot, it’s all about the rock. We spend a lot of time outside, regardless of the weather. When it rains, it gets a bit muddy, but we just put on boots and keep moving. We have a small cabin where we keep the books and handle the payments. It’s nothing special—just a desk, a couple of chairs, and a calendar. We’ve been in Satbari long enough to know most of the local builders. Dealing with stone requires a lot of heavy lifting and patience. You can’t rush the cutting or the loading. We usually have some music playing from a small phone speaker to keep us company. It’s honest work, and we like the feeling of the raw material. People come by to pick out specific pieces, and we spend time walking them through the stacks. It’s a slow, steady process. The evenings are nice when the sun goes down over the farm nearby. We usually close up once it gets too dark to see the colors in the stone clearly.
