Shree Ganapathi Granites

Out here at 12 Carmelaram Sec 38d, we run Shree Ganapathi Granites. It is a stone yard, so it is loud and there is a lot of water used for cutting. We have slabs of granite leaning against the walls in all sorts of colors. Some are heavy and need the crane to move, others we handle ourselves. It is a gritty job. Your boots are always wet and there is stone dust on your clothes. We don’t have a fancy office. Just a small room with a table and some samples. Carmelaram is a bit away from the main city rush, which is nice. We spend the day measuring and polishing edges. Granite is tough material to work with. If you make a wrong cut, the whole piece is ruined, so we have to be careful even when we are tired. We get a lot of people building new kitchens who come to look at the patterns. Every stone is a bit different. We don't try to sell people things they don't need. We just show them what we have in stock. It is a basic operation. Just a couple of guys who know how to handle stone. We’ve been in Sec 38d for a while and the neighbors know the sound of our cutters by now. It’s just daily work for us.
