Shree Ganapathi Granites & Marbles

Our yard is at 53/2 Koramangala, right on Bhandarkar Road. If you are driving down that way, we are directly opposite the HP petrol bunk. It is a dusty place because of all the stone cutting and moving we do. Survey No 796/B is where most of the heavy slabs are kept. We spend our days moving pieces of granite and marble around with the crane, and it’s a lot of physical work. The noise of the traffic on Bhandarkar Road mixes with the sound of our saws most afternoons. Sometimes people stop by because they saw us while filling up their tanks across the street. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s mostly just the outdoor space and a small office where we handle the bills. The stone comes in from different places, and we just stack it up and wait for people to come take a look. Rain makes the marble slippery, so we have to be careful when we are loading trucks. It’s a basic operation. We show people what we have in stock, tell them the price, and that is about it. The staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to supply the stone for the houses being built around here. We just stay busy and keep the yard organized as much as possible for everyone.
