Sheetal Marble Center

Our place is located right on Bannerghata Road, specifically at the 16/6 address if you are looking for the exact number on the gate. It is a very busy stretch of road and the traffic noise can get pretty loud during the middle of the day. We deal in marble mostly, which is heavy work and the yard often gets quite white from all the stone dust flying around. We have been at this same spot for a long time now. People usually come by when they are building a new house or maybe just fixing up a small room in their apartment. We have various slabs leaning against the walls in the yard. Some of the stone is from nearby areas, while others come from much further away. It is not a shiny showroom like the ones you might see in the middle of the city. It is more of a practical workspace for us. We spend most of our time moving pieces around with the old crane or talking to the contractors who stop their trucks right outside. The sun hits the front of the shop directly in the afternoon, making the marble look really bright for a few hours. We usually sit down for tea around four o’clock when the rush slows down just a bit. It is just us here, keeping track of what we have and making sure the slabs don't get chipped. Bannerghata is always changing, but we have stayed in this same corner.
