Shastii Stones

We've been at Harpanahalli Gate in Jigani for a while now. It’s mostly just us and the stone slabs out here. People come by when they're building something or just need a piece for a kitchen. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially in the afternoons. We spend most of our time moving things around with the crane. It isn't a fancy place. We just have different types of stones stacked up. Sometimes the trucks arrive late and we have to stay back to unload everything. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy. Most folks around Jigani know where we are because we’re right by the gate. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk and some chairs. If you walk in, you'll probably see one of us covered in stone dust. We try to keep the slabs organized but they move in and out fast. There’s always noise from the cutters or the trucks nearby. The weather out here can be tough, either too hot or raining hard, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep doing what we do every day. It’s a simple setup. Nothing too special about it, just a lot of granite and marble sitting in the sun. We’ve seen the area change over the years. More buildings coming up around Harpanahalli. We just stay here and handle the stones. If someone needs a specific color, we look through the stacks. It takes time but we find it.
