Shanthi Residency Hotel Marathahalli

We are over in Munnekolala on the Varthur Main Road. Marathahalli is always crowded, no matter what time it is. The traffic outside is constant. Our residency here sees a lot of people who work in the IT companies nearby. They come in looking for a place to stay while they get their houses sorted or if they are just here for a few days of meetings. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everyone. We have our regulars who come back every time they are in town. The building is right there on the main stretch, so it's easy to find but it gets dusty from all the construction going on around Bangalore. We spend a good part of the morning just dusting things off. It’s not a fancy life, just running a hotel and making sure everything works like it should. Sometimes the plumbing gives trouble or a guest loses their key, and we have to fix it right then. The staff is mostly local guys who know the shortcuts around here. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the rooms are clean and the guests are sorted out. It’s a practical business. Marathahalli has grown so fast, sometimes it feels like the roads can't keep up, but we’re still here doing our thing on Varthur Road every day.
