You can find us at 135 Virapillai Street, which is just off the main shopping area of Commercial Street. This part of Bangalore is always filled with people and vehicles. Select Beauty Saloon has been operating here for a long time, tucked away near the Anand Sweet godown. It is a bit of a hidden place if you are not looking for it specifically. We handle hair cutting and basic beauty services for the people who live or work in this busy district. It is not a high-end salon with bright lights and fancy uniforms. It is just a practical space where we do the work. I started this because I knew the trade and wanted to have my own shop. We get a real mix of people—some are shopkeepers from the nearby stalls and others have lived in these Bangalore streets for decades. The room is not very large, but we make it work. I ensure the towels are always fresh and the floor is kept clean. People seem to appreciate a place that is not too loud or overpriced. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit much, but once you are in the chair, it is fine. I do not use any big machines, just my hands and the usual scissors and combs. We do haircuts, some styling, and the other usual saloon things. It is a steady life running a shop here.
